A week ago, on a gloomy Saturday morning, the Bhat family welcomed me into their Denver home to photograph the newest addition to their family, Kaya. This lifestyle session was one of the most relaxed and smooth sessions I've done to date. When Sahana and Laina greeted me with excitement, I knew I was in for a real treat - they were amazing! They had me giggling from the get go. Sahana even gave me one of her drawings before I left - what lovely girls, indeed!
I've said this many times before, but lifestyle sessions can be a great option for families with young children. Most often, they are more comfortable and happier in their own home. I love how their individual personalities shine through in every one of these photos.
When Manjari told me she had always wanted to do a newborn session but never got around to it with Sahana and Laina, I was thrilled she decided to take the leap with Kaya. Every parent knows how quickly children grow. It's so important to capture the milestones as they grow.
Speaking from personal experience, I often find myself looking through old photographs and forgetting what my kiddos looked like years ago! Photos really do tell a story. Afterall - "If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera." ~ Lewis Hine
